A magnificently styled Hilary Rhoda for Zac Posen.
Setting aside Galliano’s antisemitic rant for a moment, compare tailoring and direction, is Zac Posen shaping up to be the American Galliano? There are some undeniable similarities between the two.
Mayjah brows and precision sharp liner, Posen has a gorgeous and fresh vision for the fall face that references Joan Crawford, but remains very modern.

Naturally, the collection included more than a few red carpet contenders as well.
Another solid collection from the prolific Burberry Prorsum.

Karl loosely referenced Rajasthan in a surprisingly rich and full Pre-Fall Collection for Chanel.
Filled with wearable suits and new proportions for day, lux fabrics, and interesting beading, this show wasn’t filled with leftovers. It did what a Pre-Fall Collection should do: hint at a fresh direction.

Floaty and ephemeral at moments, dark, mysterious, and layered at others…

…with occasional moments of red and pink.
Congratulations Mr. Lagerfeld on one of the best collections of the season.
